GENERAL DERMATOLOGY
General Dermatology

Dermatology is the medical specialty that diagnoses and treats diseases of the skin, mucous membranes, hair and nails of all age groups.
As the skin is the largest organ in the human body, it is the most exposed but also the most accessible for early diagnosis of any disease.
Contact eczema, allergic or irritant, deshidrotic eczema and atopic eczema in children and adults, are the so-called “allergies” whose management is the responsibility of the dermatologist.
Signs of diseases that affect internal organs may appear on the skin and their detection shortens the diagnosis.
If you notice the appearance of a new mole that is different from the usual or the modification of an existing mole, a wound that does not heal, persistent inflammation of the skin, oral or genital mucosa, nails or abnormal hair loss, consult a Dermatologist.
